This year Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be the main game at ESL One’s annual event in New York.

The two-day event will be hosted at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on October 1-2. The Barclays Center is a 19,000-seat stadium which usually hosts major sports events, such as Stanley Cup playoffs. ESL One NY will be the first esports event for the arena.

Eight teams will compete for the $250,000 prize pool. Six teams received direct invites and two are determined by online qualifiers, one for Europe and one for North America. The EU qualifier took place on September 4th and was won by Astralis. There is yet no specific date for the North American qualifier.
